I had my first acupuncture visit today. I have nerve damage after stomach surgery went wrong and my specialist sent me there after telling me of the positive results people have had with this treatment. The experience was kind of painful, especially on the side I have damage, which I did not expect and it also let me know that it was targeting my problem, who knew needles could target nerve damage located the affected side with such certainty?.

I do not make a habit of writing about experiences but today I got hope, of improvement and real help that has been absent for almost two years and I have a whole new view ( & a new found appreciation and respect) of acupuncture and what a miracle it can mean if it works for people in trouble.

I can not wait to see what happens next and I just might be able to think about a future that's not loaded with pain and hopelessness.

I went to Whole Health Center in Lone tree, CO and from other places I called they did not have one therapist but a whole group that can take care of you whenever you need them, and this after having dificulty with therapists that was not contracted with my medical insurance when it came to acupuncture.
