Acupuncture Delivered at Sea Accelerates Benefits and Results

ShipWhat is the ideal location for receiving an Acupuncture treatment? Are significant results easily achieved when treatments are squeezed into a busy day between meetings, stresses of family life and dealing with commute traffic? On the other hand, can a more free and relaxed setting contribute to greater and
more lasting gains?

Acupuncture administered to travelers at sea could be among the most ideal settings to deliver the full benefits of the practice. Stephanie Kimber, an Acupuncturist from Los Angeles, has observed experience to share about benefits attained in this relaxed and tranquil setting. She recently served as the resident Acupuncturist aboard a Celebrity Cruise ship.

“After several months working on board, dealing with a clientele from all around the world,” said Ms. Kimber, “I was able to observe a very promising trend. Essentially, people were showing improvement and in a much shorter time than I had experienced on land.

“This at first seemed puzzling, especially because I was using very gentle techniques. However, after watching my patients leave the clinic, relaxed and unhurried, their main orientation being the calming serenity of the sea, I realized it was more than just the treatments that were yielding such great results.

“Away from their daily schedule, which in many cases proved to be the root of their problem, they had the time and the willingness to try something new. It
was certainly a refreshing change from having worked with patients in L.A. who would leave my clinic to face the pressures and anxieties of urban life.”

Many people in the Western world are now discovering the benefits of Acupuncture. Furthermore, Acupuncture received in a tranquil setting, even if not at sea, may provide the greatest of gains.
